Greetings precious loved ones in Christ. This April brings many things that are happening all over the world. Officially it is spring, people are preparing their gardens, cleaning out the homes from winter storms and changing clocks and adjusting to the new hour and some still shoveling snow. Yet, have they been preparing for one of the most important days of history? Easter.
So many people around the world have yet to learn that our Lord and Savior didn’t just die on a cross, he wasn’t just a fine prophet, and his end did not happen on that cross but that three days later He rose from the grave to show the victory we have in Jesus! Praise the Lord for his never-ending love for every sinner.
Looking around at the world, it is clear that God has something great planned for our generation. Thirty-one years ago, when IFC was formed our mission statement was born. It has and will continue to be, “reaching all Italians with the gospel of Christ in this generation” and now we say lovingly, “and beyond”. Why, because we know that with all of the turmoil in the world now, and especially throughout this time, there will continue to be small rays of light and defenders of hope breaking through all the chaos and leading the lost to Christ. That is our mission. Those who have been lost in tradition are awakening and looking for the Hope that is in us!
We love to use the phrase “all roads lead to Rome” however many people don’t realize that in history all roads did lead to Rome because the Roman empire made it that way, making life easy for travelers. You will note in most big cities, they too have made roads circling the big cities bringing people in. Now it is our time, all over the world, to bring the people in to the Truth that keeps us looking up.
Matthew 28:6-7 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. “He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. “Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
Easter is here. Our sacrifice, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, has had mercy on us all, and has given everything for us. We gladly share the Word with everyone that travels through our midst, boldly proclaiming the Savior who not only died on that cross for our sins but, on the third day, rose again so that we too will rise again, and for eternity live with Him.
Let us make the most of the next few days, as we thank God for His loving intervention, let us together share that love with all in Italy and beyond. Let us be able to share with all those lost, Acts 2:24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. Amen and Amen.
We humbly say THANK YOU, for your prayers and support, for IFC, the Sottiles, the Collesanos, for all the people of Italy – thank you for giving to the Lord so that we can share the Hope that lives in all our hearts. Great is your reward, as together one day we will hear others come to us and say thank you for giving to the Lord, for they are the life that was changed! It is He who lives in you and His love that makes you able to support a ministry that continues to share His love with every person He provides us, fulfilling the Great Commission together with you!
