Greetings from sunny Sicily, although Mt. Etna will still have snow in June if not in July. Strange weather here! After spending lots of time in Michigan for health purposes and time with family, that was the picture in Sicily awaiting Giuseppe.

The beauty of God’s creation can still be seen all around, but also some tragedies. In Niscemi, a three-mile long landslide did cause destruction of a local church and the loss of houses for a few believers’ families. No loss of life, though; God is good even in the midst of a storm. Giuseppe helped out with two evangelistic events, and then met with the elders of the local church in assuring them that the children affected by this tragedy will still be able to go to the Bible camp in Ispica this year. Through your generosity, we are able to send about 10 kids to camp — four more than last year. God is good.

Giuseppe also preached on the following Sunday in Ispica (where the camp is located) at a house church. We are also helping in Niscemi by providing much needed material in Romanian for a new church plant. We are also helping the local church with lots of Gospels of John for their need to reach the people there. Remember that they lost the church building too.

Please pray that Giuseppe’s residency papers can soon be presented so that all is according to the law. As you can see from the photo, there’s already a long line of people waiting for the office to open in the city of Giarre. It has been a month and the “snail” hasn’t moved much yet. Lots of patience needed here. Hopefully soon, all can be done.

Lots of travel in May from south to the north awaits to be done. Another pallet of literature has already been ordered and soon will be arriving to reach people in prisons in the north. There are still plans to go to the southernmost point in Sicily to evangelize a couple of towns. Giuseppe met with a Sargent of the Italian Air Force at a nearby NATO base to discuss the logistics to do that. Giuseppe Morfino was eager to get together and present him to his church in Catania for future partnership in evangelizing there as well. Just a little busy in his younger “age”.

Please pray for the Hamiltons in Florida and for Chris’ preparation to be ordained soon. They are still planning to serve in Sicily. There is another couple that will be visiting from Pennsylvania soon too. Giuseppe was a mentor to them and they are planning to come to Italy in the near future. God is at work in many lives. Do pray for the Como family, as they are planning a trip next year to evangelize perhaps in the north. Still more laborers are needed for the harvest.

It is of great encouragement to have you as our partners in reaching the lost with His Gospel, and we are very thankful for your steadfast support in prayers and financial need here.
Thank you. God bless you.

Serving together,
Giuseppe and Pennie Collesano
As always: Let’s go fishing (really) for one more for the One.
Ciao for now.
