Chris and Alicia Hamilton
Chris and Alicia Hamilton

The Hamilton Family

Alicia has always had a heart for missions. She came to Christ at a young age and grew up in a Christian home. She is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University. She has served on a mission trip to NYC to help plant a church and has been involved in volunteer church ministries such as nursery and choir. She is in active ministry to her 3 boys currently as a full-time stay-at-home mom. Her love for people is evident, and she is dedicated to God’s call to be a wife and mother.

Christopher is a natural relationship builder. He also came to Jesus at a young age and grew up in a Christian home. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves to meet new people. He is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University. He is currently going back for his Master of Ministry. He loves his wife and his 3 boys and is focused on giving them a Christ-centered love for other people. His heritage dates back to Sicily, so it’s no wonder God has given him a burden to spread the Gospel to reach a highly predominant Catholic culture.

Why Act Now Ministries?

It was honestly a God thing! Answering God’s call can come with a few questions. At least, that was the case for our family. We looked into many different areas in ministry in search of the right fit. Christopher emailed Giuseppe and scheduled a call after seeing the missionary need in Sicily. After speaking with Giuseppe, Christopher felt the burden he had for lost souls. After much prayer and counsel, the Hamilton family is taking a leap of faith in God’s direction. Sicily is on God’s roadmap for the Hamilton Family, and there is a strong hope that you share a similar burden for lost souls. If you want to be a part of expanding God’s kingdom in Sicily, please feel free to pray earnestly, give graciously, and encourage deeply.

1So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Philippians 2:1-4

What Will We Be Doing in Sicily?

Our first few trips to Sicily will involve a huge culture shift. We will be making disciples by making friends. We will look to meet Sicilians where they are and point them to Jesus. We will possibly even start a coffee themed Bible study. Sicilians love their coffee! As our relationships with the people of Sicily grow, we want to eventually establish and plant a church. Ideally, we want this church to be a plant of local churches back in the States. We want you to think of us as the feet of Christ is Sicily. Really our goal is to be an extension of your local church and the ministry you have here. Sicilians know about Jesus, but from a Catholic viewpoint. We want to show them the love of Jesus and the truth of Scripture. The gospel is often carried across the bridge of relationships. If God is directing your heart to give back to His ministry in Sicily, please hit the donate button at the top of this page to ACT NOW!
