Dear partners in the ministry of Act Now Ministries:

Summer is coming to an end, and it seems like it was only yesterday that Giuseppe arrived to Michigan to spend quality time with his family and rest.

It has been a busy summer with lots of travel and doing repair work on the house and cottage on Bois Blanc Island. When you are away for months at the time, it is very difficult to follow up on all the family activities. Charlotte has been growing by leaps and bounds. It was surprising to her that Nonno is not in the box anymore (iPad); it took a little bit for her to get accustomed to seeing Nonno in person.

It is always a joy when Pennie babysits and there is that special time with the grandkids. Pennie alternates a few days a week between Joshua’s kids and Ben. Emery, Ashland and Levi are growing too. Now we have a fifth grader and a first grader in the family. We are blessed with our grandkids, waiting now on John and Cristina for more grandchildren. Cristina and John just moved to a larger house in Virginia Beach. We had the opportunity to spend a long week with them in Virginia with Emery tagging along for her first visit with Zia an Zio (Aunt and Uncle).

As always, there are some repairs that Giuseppe could get his hands into, thanks to his time in the construction trade.

During his time in the States, the apartment in Sicily has been a blessing to two missionary families, the Castronuovo and the Sommerville families. The Castronuovos visited in order to evaluate and seek God’s will for their future ministry with Act Now Ministries, as we wrote in the last letter. Please continue to pray for them as they prepare for their move to Sicily.

The Sommervilles visited in order to renew their visas to reenter North Africa, as they are from one of our son’s church ministering in Africa. Uplift them to the Lord for their ministry in a difficult area. Thank you!

In the meantime, more work was done on the cottage on the island with Pennie and Sassi, the Sicilian cat that was rescued five years ago during the visit of our friend Marc Eckel with splatexperience.com. Please visit the site and enjoy all that we did.

On August 4, we had the opportunity to represent Act Now Ministries and preach at the Coast Guard Chapel on Bois Blanc Island. There was a good turnout with new people visiting because of summer. Many came afterwards to ask more questions about the work in Sicily and the work with the remaining refugees in the country.

As the time comes close to return to Sicily, we do have one more week to spend with Ben and Aly along with Charlotte soon after Labor Day. We truly appreciate and pray God’s blessing on each one of you that keeps us going for One more for The One.

Isaiah said it very well when he answered God’s question: Who should I send and who will go for Us? His response: Here I am, send me.

Who will go next? Come and visit and explore where God can use you. By the way, there is no age restriction; He can use you anywhere, anytime, in anyway.

We love you and miss you.

As always: Let’s go fishing (really) for One more for The One. Ciao for now.

Serving together,

Giuseppe and Pennie Collesano with Act Now Ministries
