January 2023 Newsletter
Greetings to you, our friends and partners of the ministry in Sicily, Italy. We pray and hope that your Christmas was a blessed day filled with the remembrance of the precious gift from above to us. It is a privilege to be able to serve with you all overseas. In those two short 2 1/2 months, God was at work tremendously. God is good.
Even over the last 15 days in Sicily, God showed up in so many ways and opportunities, and many heard the gospel of salvation. The seed was planted and now the watering will continue through keeping up with all the new contacts. Giuseppe Collesano and Giuseppe La China, Isidoro Cavallaro and many more volunteers are continuing the work there. Giuseppe Collesano, our president, is always on the forefront in evangelizing wherever the opportunity arises.
We did not know that we had a part in reaching out to two jails in the Catania area where many have received the gospel and have been saved. Tragically, one of our brothers passed away from complications due to surgery to remove cancer. Isaac went to be with the Lord before Christmas. His family from Nigeria could not come and take the body there.
We hope to translate his testimony from Italian to English soon and publish it for you to read it. From the photos, you will see that Act Now Ministries assisted with care packages for the inmates this past Christmas. Also, you will see the volunteers that visit the jails on a weekly basis. God is at work. And thanks to Culver’s restaurant in Michigan, where many kids and parents were exposed to the gospel of salvation. We hope you enjoy the fruit of your and our labor for the Lord.
A simple thank you won’t suffice here, but the realization that one day we will see many in heaven because of our faithfulness in serving Him gives us reasons to rejoice.
God bless you.
Giuseppe and Pennie Collesano, President of Act Now Ministries.
As always: Let’s go fishing (really) for one more for the One.
Ciao for now.
