July 2026 Newsletter
Greetings friends and prayer warriors. Summer is almost over and we hope that you had a great time of vacation and relaxation. Sometimes life here on Earth gets in our way; we recently had losses in three of our friends passing away. Of the three, only one of them is for sure in heaven; the others heard of the gospel through Giuseppe and Pennie. We can share salvation in Christ alone; at the end, we all know that it is by faith to be saved through His shed blood on the cross. We mourn and tend to ask ourselves if we could have done more. Billy Graham preached on John 3:16, the familiar verse even on display at football stadiums. We can share the Way; the choice remains with those that we shared it.
Mr. Motta received a pair of crutches from Giuseppe, another co-worker of ANM; he also has been witnessed by both Giuseppes. Too many Giuseppes in Italy (Giuseppe is the patron saint for Italy). Go figure why we ended up with that name.
Continue to pray for the 10 kids that we sent to the Bible camp in Ispica, province of Ragusa. At the moment, the other group, high school, is at camp. We want to thank the many that sent funds so that these kids could have a chance to hear the gospel.
Etna continues erupting more and more, disrupting flights in or out of Catania; some flights are diverted either to Palermo or other airports. Everybody is safe. As Giuseppe calls it: it’s all tourist lava.
Our coworker Daniele is busy at sharing the gospel in the province of Bologna, this time with a brother they went to share to the people in line to see Marilyn Manson (we know who she is or he is). Someone made a video of them and the next day 600,000 had seen them sharing the gospel on the web. Not bad. God is good that puts in our hearts to go to places that usually we do not go.
This year, we had a mini family reunion with relatives from the south. We had a great time of fellowship and fun. Also, we saw another family that came up, so we shared a meal and many stories. One of these stories goes back to Sicily when Giuseppe met their neighbor in Sicily as they were planting a church in Palermo. What a blessing to see someone that knows someone from meeting them in the 70s, long ago.
This year, we had the presence of a supporting church bringing Vacation Bible School again; they did great and were a blessing to all. Giuseppe was in charge of keeping the mosquitoes at bay with his special mix so the children could play outside. Sometimes it’s not always preaching; sometimes, it’s doing something so that someone can hear His voice. Continue to pray for the Hamiltons and Kazka, as they seek our Father’s will for their desire to serve in Sicily and Italy. Prayer goes a long, long way; His Way.
Thank you for standing with us and helping spread the gospel far and wide. God bless you.
Giuseppe and Pennie Collesano, serving together our Lord and Savior.
As always: Let’s go fishing (really) for one more for the One.
Ciao for now.
