Greetings to our supporters and friends of Act Now Ministries:

We hope and pray that this letter will find you all well. By the time you read it, we might have a new president or the reinstatement of President Trump for the next four years. This year for sure will go down in history for many things.

In addition to the pandemic, we have seen hatred hitting a level that can be compared to the uprising of the 60s. One thing remains: God is still in control. We hope that your faith has gotten stronger and not weaker. We are reminded of the words of our Lord: “In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart. I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Again we are reminded in Matthew 28:18-20 that He will be with us. Always.

We are thankful that we are all well in our family with the exception of Giuseppe’s mom in Sicily. She is stable and well taken care of at the rest home in Castelbuono. The news from overseas is not good: lockdown, curfew, and penalties for mask non-compliance. Also, most of Europe has seen a resurgence of COVID. While deaths have not spiked like they did at the beginning, the positive cases are high. Keep the prayers going to Our Father.

Giuseppe and Isidoro are continuing the ministry under Giuseppe’s leadership. We are in the process of providing 300 large print New Testament, 300 daily calendars, and 300 children’s coloring book bibles to be distributed in the Catania area and surrounding towns. Even in the midst of COVID, Giuseppe has been very proactive in doing so, and Isidoro is helping at the navy base for the gathering of clothes, toys, toiletries and more to reach families in need in the area. In this, we see the involvement of our service members who are participating with Act Now Ministries in these outreaches. Continue to pray for Giuseppe and Isidoro during this difficult time.

Also, we ask you to pray for the Castronuovo. They visited Sicily again in August for future ministry alongside us. They are preparing to come and serve full time in church planting and discipleship for the advance of the gospel. Pray also for Kayla Marie Weaser from Pennsylvania who is also preparing to come to minister in Sicily.

She shared with us of a week at a retreat of being refreshed and encouraged in her relationship with the Lord. Also, pray for renewed vision for the mission overseas. God is still at work. We would like to wish all of you a very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. No matter what’s going on in the world, we should be thankful for what He has done for us. And for what He will do.

From our hearts to yours, thank you for your steadfastness and faith; we count it a blessing and honor to serve with you our Lord.

As always: Let’s go fishing (really) for one more for The One. It might be a clique; a good clique to live by. God bless you and yours.
Serving together Giuseppe and Pennie Collesano. Ciao for now.
