Wow. God is working in ways that are unexpected to us. What a blessing. I hope that you remember that long time ago, Giuseppe shared about his desire to present the gospel to his long-lost friends. Be ready when He answers our prayers. Also when you ask, do ask that you will receive according to His will that exactly what happened and still is happening. We hosted Pastor Chris Hamilton for only a week, but it was a week designed by our Father. He is amazing when we allow Him to work through us.

Only having Chris here for only four full days was a challenge of the four days. Chris preached three times in various churches. Unbeknownst to him, more happened after he left. Another big surprise was to meet with Frank and Christine F. from Texas. Giuseppe was able to meet them by the seaside town of Taormina for a refreshing drink. At the same time, they met John, a former refugee living there, and shared briefly the gospel before the closing of the restaurant. Everything in God’s timing.

As promised to Chris, Giuseppe went and met Salvatore who works at the Messina office of naturalization for an informative trip and a presentation of the gospel to Salvatore. God is working all the time. During all of this, Giuseppe was finally settling in at the apartment in Giarre. Through Giuseppe La China met Vincenzo C, a local policeman who lives in Belpasso. They had coffee and Giuseppe shared the gospel with Vincenzo and his mother, leaving behind a New Testament to read. Vincenzo was of a great help to make a couple of reports about the necessity to have the new ID card and the Italian document that represents our social security card. God is truly amazing to put all the pegs in place at the right time.

We were able to donate a bed to a family in need two hours away from Giarre, plus recently we donated some furniture to another family. Always, if you can, do good and share His gospel. So there is another Vincenzo from Giuseppe’s hometown, Castelbuono. As he and Dominic went to gather chestnuts above Castelbuono, they met Vincenzo D. From Chestnuts to the gospel, God is good.

Vincenzo is one of the many friends Giuseppe lost once he became a Christian. The long-ago prayer to be able to share the gospel to his former friends now has become a reality. It was Vincenzo that recognized Giuseppe, and God opened the door to share His gospel. More surprises were awaiting Giuseppe. Someone was asking about him and what has happened in those 50 years that have passed. Antonino M. and Mario P., another two of his friends, have retired in Castelbuono after many years in the north.

Would you pray for these that they will be reached with the gospel in the days to come? It is so invigorating to be able to share and rekindle lost friendships. There is much more to write; Giuseppe will continue it on the next report. We know God is moving and working in the heart of people, and we could not do it without your participation. We are thankful for the many of you that pray, give and come to serve alongside us here.
