September 2024 Newsletter
Greetings from sunny Michigan!
Summer is ending after a flurry of activity here in Michigan and the time to return to Sicily, Italy is approaching fast. Where did the time go? We were blessed to have all our children with us this summer while being up north on Bois Blanc Island. It was a great and blessed time to have all of them together for once. Between seeing the wildlife and all the activities and preaching at the Coast Guard Chapel, we kept busy.
In Italy, the weather was abnormal, with the highest temps all over and Mt. Etna blowing her stack multiple times. This kept nearby towns busy cleaning up the streets and cars from dust.
Now it has been raining too much all over the country, with lots of damage in the north with landslides and overflowing rivers. Just a few years ago, there was no rain at all and now there’s too much. All of this impacts what can be done with the severe weather at hand.
Concetto was in need of food and Giuseppe La China helped him and his family during this difficult time. Also, we were able through his help to send more packages of literature where needed. More to send in the coming weeks. As fall is creeping in, our schedule is filling up with different events that you might pray about.
We are teaching and preaching in the north again to equip the believers to stand strong on their faith. Also, the Jounghans are visiting in October to explore the possibility of serving alongside us in Sicily. They are a newlywed couple from Virginia and Greece. Dean and Alexandra will spend time with Giuseppe C around the island, praying for His will in their lives. Also, keep praying for the Hamiltons serving in South Carolina for their future ministry involvement in Sicily.
We sent four young kids to a bible camp this past summer. Please pray about starting a scholarship for next year’s camp so we can send more kids that cannot afford the tuition for the camp. We will keep you all informed how this will come to fruition. Again, a word of thanks is necessary for your love for the ministry of Act Now Ministries in Italy and beyond.
As always: Let’s go fishing (really) for one more for the One.
God bless you.
Serving together, Giuseppe and Pennie Collesano.
Ciao for now.
